BIOGRAPHY
Bai Bang, a driving force in the Swedish rock scene of the 2000s, hails from Helsingborg. The glam rock band's music spans from classic raw sleaze rock to melodic hard rock. Founder Diddi Kastenholt writes the music and considers the last four albums — Rock of Life, All Around the World, Livin' My Dream, and Are You Ready — to be his best work. Best of Four was released on May 31, 2019, via Lion's Pride Music.
Bai Bang's early years were shaped by their taste for bands like T. Rex, Sweet, and Kiss. Their first major tour was with the Scottish rock band Nazareth, and they have since toured with Alice Cooper, Pretty Maids, Dio, Ratt, Union, L.A. Guns, and many others over the years.
Since touring with Nazareth, Bai Bang has performed across Europe, Canada, Japan, and the United States.
The band has played at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Sweden Rock Festival, Rocklahoma, Hard Rock Hell Sleaze, Hard Rock Hell AOR, Hard Rock Hell, and HEAT Festival.
In December 2023, the band welcomed Magnus Rosén (formerly of Hammerfall) as their new bassist! His live debut with Bai Bang took place at a show in Greece on January 12, 2024. Welcome aboard!
Diddi Kastenholt is currently working on the band’s next album. Bai Bang has promised to bring back the big songs and big shows of rock ’n’ roll.
